Global Medical Dossier (Dossier médical global/ DMG)

In Belgium, it is standard practice to have a 'family' doctor. It is this doctor who opens your Global Medical dossier and can refer you to specialist doctors. The Global Medical Dossier (DMG) contains all your medical consultations and examinations in a single file. You will also receive a slightly higher reimbursement from the Belgian health insurance if you visit your GP. Of course you may always change your GP if you wish.

I am happy to open this Global Medical Dossier for you. The fee for opening the file I can charge directly to your health insurance and it is renewed once a year.

For patients who do not have Belgian health insurance (European Commission, NATO, ....), this fixed amount (32€) for the opening/continuation of this file will also be charged once a year using the code 102771. These additional costs can be reimbursed by the health insurance.
